Tutorial - How to Delete Duplicate Files?

Introduction

Duplicate files are duplicates of one another, but have appearances in various locations. They waste your disk space and, you may lose data when you delete a file thinking that there is another copy when in fact there is not! Advanced Win Utilities Free can scan for the duplicate files and delete them for good. It saves your computer from disorganization, free up disk space and cut time waste when searching for files.
Activate Free Duplicates Remover

Step 1. Activate Free Duplicates Remover

Launch Advanced Win Utilities Free and go to "Harddisk" tab and in "DISK SPACE" group, click "Duplicates Removal" to activate the free duplicates remover.

Step 2. Scan Drive

Click the disk you want to search for the duplicate files. If you only want to search a certain folder, navigate to it and single click the folder to select it. Click the "Scan Drive" button in the top left corner of the window, and it will start scanning your computer for existed files and folders.

Find & Delete Duplicate Files

Step 3. Find & Delete Duplicate Files

Click "Find Duplicates..." to activate the "Duplicates" window where all the files are listed with related info like name, size, modified date and so on. Choose the files you think they may be duplicate files and click "CheckSums" to make sure that it finds the duplicate files that exactly match. If their checksums match, and you are sure that they are not intentional copies, click "Delete..." to remove them to the recycle bin; if not, keep them.
