Tutorial - How to Clean Registry?

Introduction

Your operating system's registry is a database of all the information about the computer and the software installed on the computer. Activate Free Registry Cleaner

Step 1. Activate Free Registry Cleaner

Launch Advanced Win Utilities Free and in "System Tweak" tab, click "Registry Cleanup" in "DRIVERS & REGISTRY" group to activate the free registry cleaner.
Scan Registry

Step 2. Scan Registry

Once the registry cleaner is launched, you'll see all the registry entries located in the left-side window of the program. By default, all of them are checked to be scanned. You can uncheck any of them if you don't want to scan. Click "Scan Registry" to start scan. Scanning your system takes just a few seconds (depending on how much information you have), and this software finds errors or issues throughout your registry. Once the scan is complete, you are able to see a full list of the issues, from which you can simply identify which section has issues and how many issues it has. Uncheck the issues if you don't want to remove. By a right click, you can select all/none, ignore, or open these registry entries in registry editor.

Select All - choose all the issues to be cleaned

Select None - do not choose any of the issues

Invert Selection - change the order of "Select All" and "Select None"

Excluded Selected - add selected registry keys to the ignore list

View in regedit - open the registry editor

Specify Clean Settings

Step 3. Specify Clean Settings

Click "Settings" to expand the "Options" window. In "General" tab, click "Browse..." below the "Select a folder to backup deleted registry entries" to select a folder to backup the current registry. This allows you to reverse any changes in case you don't like them or they cause a conflict with another program. Click "Browse..." below the "Select a folder to save the log files to" to choose another folder to save the log files. You are allowed to check the other options you need from "Log registry scans and fixes", "Re-scan after fixing registry issues", "Create system restore points automatically" and so on.

Click "Ignore List" tab and right click the window to add file/folder/registry path to ignore list so that the registry cleaner will simply pass over those selections and leave them alone. Choose "Remove Entry" to remove the selected entry from this list.

Click "Scheduler" to make the program perform registry cleanup daily, weekly, monthly or never, according to your preference.

Start Clean

Step 4. Start Clean

Click "Start Clean" and confirm it to start fix all selected problems. Few seconds later, the clean will completes. If you want to restore your registry from the backup file, click "Restore Registry" tab and the "Restore Registry" window will display, and what you need to do is to choose a file and then click "Restore". The restore process will then run automatically.
